As Colgate’s 2022–23 fiscal year end approached in June, Assistant Dean for Administrative Advising Doug Chiarello ’98 didn’t just want to support financial aid — he wanted to encourage others to do the same.

Colgate’s Community Garden recently received a total of $110,000 to help fund the addition of a greenhouse and an electric golf cart to transport compost materials. The greenhouse will be open before the 2024 growing season and will support the community garden as both an educational space and source of food for campus and local families. 

Members of the Colgate community gathered on Saturday, May 27 to celebrate recent renovations to the Seven Oaks golf course and dedicate the new Applegate Family Clubhouse.

In recent months, several Colgate alumni have contributed major gifts to arts, creativity, and innovation initiatives within the Third-Century Plan, helping the Campaign for the Third Century advance toward its ambitious $1 billion goal.

Colgate Day, Jan. 13, President Brian W. Casey fielded questions from alumni during the first in a series of live conversations on YouTube. The discussion focused on the University’s Third-Century transformation, where it stands, and where it is headed.
